Opened in February 2018 with Abilio Vinha at the helm, this Gulden Draak Bierhuis is a true reflection of the story behind the Gulden Draak from Ghent and the speciaity beers from the Van Steenberge Brewery. The bierhuis (literally ‘beer house’ in Flemish) is situated in the heart of Porto, north of the Douro River.

More than twelve specialty beers on tap and the dozens in bottles ensure a wide-ranging representation of the Belgian beer culture. The beer menu is constantly being renewed and is presented to the customers in an original manner – in the form of an informative newspaper.

The Gulden Draak Bierhuis celebrated its first birthday in February 2019 with no less than a 3L bottle of Gulden Draak Quadruple 'Black Edition'. An absolute priority of the staff is to ensure warm meetings, so everyone is more than welcome.

The owner guides you through a story and presents you with numerous promotions. There is a 'happy hour' every day from 19:00 until 20:00, during which time the entire selection of beers can be enjoyed at a discount of one euro each.
