Gulden Draak Bierhuis Prague

Traditional Belgian bierhuis (literally ‘beer house’ in Flemish) in Prague, with eighteen different Belgian beers on tap and a wide selection of more than 100 specialty beers in bottles.

A TRIBUTE

Located in the heart of Prague, this Gulden Draak Bierhuis is a true tribute to the Ghent legend.

In addition to the wide variety of specialty beers, there are also various annual series, seasonal and archive beers and rare bottles on offer. These beers cannot be enjoyed anywhere else in the Czech Republic.

A CALLING

Our story opens in 2014 with the discovery of an empty building on Soukenická 34. It used to be a tile shop but had since deteriorated into very poor condition. Here is where the dream of the owners came into being. All that was left to do was create the plans, apply for the various permits and seals, and finally, renovate the building itself. The official opening took place on 8 September 2016.

The enthusiastic team is made up of a group of individuals with one common goal: to spread the Belgian beer culture and to share with everyone its many beautiful facets. The bierhuis was designed to reflect the authentic Belgian experience – right down to discovering myriad beer aromas.

HOMELY ATMOSPHERE

The main priorities of the personnel in Prague are cosiness, accessibility and creating a homely atmosphere, and, of course, that includes a commitment to customer service. Be sure to also try the delicious assortment of meats, cheeses and other small bites from the local quality butcher, Mr Kudrnovský from Tišice.

The bierhuis may also be used for events and has a maximum capacity of fifty persons.
